Award Success for HS Marston Areospace Limited

HS Marston Aerospace Limited was celebrating after winning a top prize at the region’s premier business awards – the Midlands Excellence Awards.

In front of more than 1,150 business leaders, the Wolverhampton-based organisation, which supplies an integrated range of heat transfer and fluids management products for commercial and military markets, fought off stiff competition to win the Lean Efficiency category in the prestigious Midlands Excellence Specialist
Category Awards.

Now in their third successful year, these awards recognise outstanding performance in the areas of Innovation, Sustainability, Lean Efficiency, Customer Service Excellence and Learning and Development.

Speaking after the gala ceremony which was held at the ICC in Birmingham, Midlands Excellence chief executive Ian Nield said: “This is a fantastic achievement for
HS Marston Aerospace Limited and I congratulate them wholeheartedly. We received our highest number of entries this year in the Specialist Category Awards and the standard has been nothing short of exceptional.”

The Specialist Category Awards are open to any Midlands-based organisation which has a good story to tell in one of the categories mentioned.

Asked why they had chosen to recognise HS Marston Aerospace Limited, the awards jury made the following comments: “This company clearly demonstrated comprehensive organisation-wide use and application of lean efficiency, driven from the leadership with demonstrable targets and results.”

Mr Nield concluded: “Every organisation we’ve recognised has undergone rigorous independent assessment and consistently demonstrated a genuine passion for excellence and performance improvement. An example to all of us, HS Marston Aerospace Limited has earned its place in the Midlands Excellence hall of fame.”
